This research team, currently consisting of five postdoctoral researchers and 10 PhD. students, is led by Prof. Anita R. Maguire and is active in the following areas:

• Development of Novel Synthetic Methodology
• Asymmetric Synthesis including Biocatalysis
• Design and Synthesis of Bioactive Compounds

Research collaborations with many groups in universities and in the pharmaceutical sector in Ireland and overseas are an important feature of the daily work of the research team.
