The main aim of my research focuses on the design and synthesis of sulphoxides, which are intrinsically chiral, and the investigation of hydrogen bonding between their compounds in crystal engineering. This project combines the complementary expertise of a group experienced in crystallography and crystal engineering led by Dr. Simon Lawrence, with the expertise of a group experienced in asymmetric synthesis led by Prof. Anita Maguire.
